Rowenta tower fan

This is the Rowenta tower fan I bought from Harvey Norman few years back.

It has many fancy functions with large choice of settings, and remotely controllable. For example, it has air flow variation function to create different experience of wind effect; it supports air flow reduction in stages; it has timer function too.

However, I urge you to think twice before deciding to purchase any tower fan, and you should test them out throughly at the shop. The reason being, tower fans are generally more expensive than table fans or stand fans, but they cannot blow the wind as effective as table fans or stand fans. The breeze produced is just too weak compared with its counterparts.

  1. voyager, you're not the only one. it's only cold when the air cond is turned on. mine's noisy too. apparently there're better makes like ICHIBAN and HITACHI which is pretty strong in air flow.

  2. Hi, would you mind to share how do you clean the tower fan? I'm having difficulty in opening it to clean the dust inside.
    Thanks :)

  3. Hi Alice,

I use a vacuum cleaner to suck out the dust.

  5. Hi Alice,

Then you might need to unscrew the cover.

  6. Hi vogayer, I'm not sure which parts can be unscrewed. Just worried I can't screw it back to normal, hehe...
Have you ever try to unscrew it before? was it successful?

  7. Yeah, I had a tower fan like yours too. What Alice said is right. I have also tried to use vacuum cleaner to clean but to no avail. Instead I use cotton bud to clean the outside lourves but to clean the inside, I also do not know how to dismantle. Mind to share how to clean, please. OD you have any problem with the led light button which the light will lit off for one mode after usage of few months. The after sales service is very poor as well.

I think other types of fan such as ceiling fan, wall fan, stand fan, table fan, ... are better choice.
