Auspicious dates for moving to new house

Since I posted about the Auspicious Dates for Wedding & Marriage, several has shown interest in the auspicious dates for moving to new house.

Therefore, I have produced the following list of all the auspicious dates for moving to new house in the 2nd half of year 2008 based on the Tong Shu (ι€šδΉ¦、ι€šθƒœ) too.

Here is it (click to enlarge):

As reminder again, although the Tong Shu is a compilation of Chinese astrology and calendaring studies gathering wisdom of thousands of years, we should use it wisely and rationally, but not be too superstitious on it.

  1. i was thinking of moving on july 30, but i thought that is a wednesday? it says monday on your calendar?

what if i'm pregnant too, does that make a difference what day to move?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Yes, it is a Wednesday.

Avoid moving in during bad time that day, which are:
    1am - 3am
    11am - 1pm
    5pm - 7pm

the rest of the time are OK, but do not move in this day if your house is facing South-West.

  8. Hi Voyager;

I am thinking of moving in my new house on the 14/09/2008. My Zodiac is horse and my wife is Dog (all most end of the year & beginning of year for pig)
Kindly need your advice, what time is good for the ceremony ?

  9. Hi,

26 Aug is not auspicious for Dragon.

If you feel uncomfortable to move in during the 7th Lunar month, then better don't, because the most important thing is your whole family must feel very joyful when you move in as that will invite prosperity to follow you to move in.

  60. Hi Voyager,

My family is moving house on 23 Dec because my mum said it's an auspicious day. I checked your list and you said 22 Dec (with the exception of Tiger).

    Would appreciate your advice!

We're Dragon, Goat, Dog, Pig, Snake. When are the good times for us to move in?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi FelSong,

It depends on what basis is your mum determine an auspicious day.

It is not a particular auspicious day for moving, according to the Tong Shu.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hey Voyager,

Thanks for your reply. Doubt we can make any changes about the day of moving now..but my mum used the usual Chinese calendar to pick a date. According to that calendar, its a good day to make your bed or something.

23 Dec is not particularly auspicious for moving..but there's nothing bad about moving on that day is there? I think this is our concern at the moment.

BTW, is there any good time(s) for us to move in on the 23rd? Thanks for your help!

23 Dec doesn't have any particular negative element.

  71. Hi!

Just to check, is it very important to follow the dates for moving house? What will happen if we don't follow cos don't have the date I want...

And heard that April is not a good month to move house cos of 'ching ming', is it true?

Is it ok to move during April?

    Pls advise. Thank you.

  72. Hi,

    Please read this again...

"As reminder again, although the Tong Shu is a compilation of Chinese astrology and calendaring studies gathering wisdom of thousands of years, we should use it wisely and rationally, but not be too superstitious on it."

Originated from ancient China more than 2500 years ago, Ching Ming is indeed the day which is suitable to start farming, as the weather become warm again, rain starts to increase, and the plants start to regrown from winter.

Is there any reason why Ching Ming is not a good season?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hi Voyager8!

    Thanks for yr advise.

'Its better believe than sorry..." If need to be in April also no choice.
