Auspicious dates for wedding/marriage in 2011

Here is the list of auspicious dates for wedding/marriage in year 2011 (year of Rabbit), which is produced based on the Chinese almanac Tong Shu. (Click the image to enlarge)


The dates highlighted in pink are considered even more auspicious.

You might aware that the mid-autumn day which fall on 12 September 2011 is among the auspicious dates. That day will have the brightest and biggest full moon of the year. Another interesting date is Christmas Eve which fall on 24 December 2011 and is a Saturday.

Bear in mind that although the Tong Shu is a compilation of Chinese astrology and calendaring studies gathering wisdom of thousands of years, we should use it wisely and rationally, but not be too superstitious on it.

    Hi! Me and my Fiance are planning to get married on Dec 5, 2011 or Jan 5, 2012. My birthday is Sept 25, 1983 and his birthday is Feb 4, 1979. both are good dates for me but in your 2012 list, Goat is the exception. Kindly advise... We might not make it on Dec because of our schedules and budget concerns. Thanks in advance

    Hello Voyager 8
    My name is Kathy and my fiance and I are planning to get married on 9th Oct 2011. Problem is that he is a rabbit (1975), an exception to the auspicious day. I am a pig (1983).

    Does this mean that it is a BAD day? Or just not a good day?

We are quite set on the date. I'm a dog, mom is tiger, dad is dragon. He is goat, dad is snake, mom is monkey. Any suggestions?

    We cannot change the rules of universe.

    However, there is one Chinese saying: "determination can overcome all hindrance" (人定胜天). If both of you are very determined, then might be less affected.

    Put it in a more understandable scenario. It is told that: if you drink dirty water, you might get sick. However, you insist to drink dirty water, but hoping that you won't get sick, how? Perhaps if you have a very strong immune system, then could be OK.

    There are many thing in the universe moving in cycles. If you know the cycles, then you have all the parameters ready for you to read and interprete.

    Just like, you know by now, it is spring in northern hemisphere, fall in southern hemisphere, and summer in equatorial. If I ask you 10 years or 20 years later in April, what the climate will like, are you able to tell? Of course, because you know the cycle. As simple as that.
