Inauspicious dates to avoid for wedding/marriage in 2014

I have posted the list of auspicious dates for wedding/marriage in 2014 quite some times ago, and here is the reverse, namely the inauspicious dates to avoid for wedding/marriage in 2014. The list below is produced based on the Chinese almanac Tong Shu. (Click the image to enlarge)

If you are concerned, then you should probably avoid getting married on the listed days above.

Bear in mind that although the Tong Shu is a compilation of Chinese astrology and calendaring studies gathering wisdom of thousands of years, we should use it wisely and rationally, but not be too superstitious on it.

  1. Thank you so much for this post. It really helps me to pick the best date for me and my fiancee. We are planning to have a wedding on 2014, the year of horse. I have a question, what if the date isn't mentioned on either auspicious and inauspicious, i.e November 8?. We are planning to do it at November 8, because the date means something for us. Does it happen to be regular day and can still do wedding or regular and it is not good to do a a wedding? Thank you so much. I will appreciate the answer.

8 November 2014 does not have particular effect to marriage. It should be OK.

In fact, it is a good day to meet up with relatives and friends.

If you see 月厌 element in any day, that day will definitely an inauspicious day for marriage.

17 May 2014 is auspicious for marriage.

  6. I'm born in the year of dog and would like to do our ROM on 14 February 2014. And chinese wedding will be later date. How bad it will effected me if I continue my ROM on 14 February 2014?

For ROM, refer to Auspicious dates for signing contract, register for marriage, etc. in 2014 .

That day conflict with your five element. If you don't think of it, stay positive and be happy, can minimize the effect.
