You might aware that the Saint Valentine's Day (14-Feb-2014), Chinese New Year (31-Jan-2014), Mid-Autumn Day (08-Sep-2014), Christmas Eve (24-Dec-2014) are among the auspicious dates for wedding/marriage in 2014.
Bear in mind that although the Tong Shu is a compilation of Chinese astrology and calendaring studies gathering wisdom of thousands of years, we should use it wisely and rationally, but not be too superstitious on it.

Looking at the universe perspective, the planets are rotating as well as revoluting.
At the common time, the facing of Hong Kong and Canada to the universe is different. Also, one side is getting energy from the sun (day time), while the other side is shaded away from the sun.
14 hours later, Canada will have the same facing position to the universe as Hong Kong 14 hours before. However, the position of the planets might be slightly different after 14 hours.
Nevertheless, the auspicious date is still applicable, and should follow the calendar date without worrying about the time zone. However, the Chinese lunar date does not have such thing as daylight saving time, so the best approach is to follow the lunar calendar date to avoid DST adjustment.
In short, the auspicious date is applicable across the globe for the same local lunar date of the place.

For marriage, the auspicious/inauspicious dates have more effect to the bride than the groom.

Hi, may i know if holding a ROM on the 22md of nov 2014 is really bad for all born in the year of rabbit or only some? And is rom considered chinese custom or only the actual tea ceremony is considered? Reason being i booked my rom on 22nd of nov but realised that it clashes with me as i am born in yr of rabbit. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's just that during that day, you might not be in good mood. You can overcome it with your own will.

My wedding day is 22nd Sept 2014 which is auspicious here but in my Chinese calendar it says it's an in auspicious day for everything.
As it's too late to change, is there anything we can do?

You have to ask whoever who say it is inauspicious. Because you need to find out why it is inauspicious, then only you can find out how to workaround.
It says in Chinese next to the date 日值四離 大事不宜

I am born in year of dog 1982 and husband born year of ox 1973. We married on Nov 29th 2014. It was an auspicious day but it clashed with my zodiac dog. What does that mean? How would I be able to improve my luck for better marriage?
